Navbharat (translation: New India) is a Hindi-language newspaper published in 14 editions from the states of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
The Indian Readership Survey ’09R1, founded in 1934, has the largest readership in Hindi newspapers in India. Its sister newspapers, the Central Chronicle and Navratri, are published in English and Marathi respectively.
There are three main medicines in the nebharata namely Suruchi, Glamor and Jagruti.

Nav Bharat was inaugurated by Shri Ram Gopal Maheshwari (1911-1999), a freedom fighter, journalist and Hindi language promoter on February 8, 1934. Maheshwari served as its chief editor for 65 years.
It began as a two-week publication in Nagpur and soon became a daily newspaper; Navbharata set its boundaries in different parts of the country. The British government has been involved in the biennial independence movement since its inception.
During the ‘Quit India Movement’ in 1942, Nawabshah risked its existence for its wider coverage. During this period, the police and secret services closely scrutinized its operations, attacked the press and even put the founder in jail.
Navbharat is hailed for launching its Jabalpur edition in 1950. In the mid-nineteenth century, the Navbharata launched its Bhopal, Raipur and Indore editions. In the 1980s and 1990s Chhattisgarh had Bilaspur editions, Madhya Pradesh and Pune Gwalior editions, Maharashtra’s Satara and Mumbai editions.
